Cargill Schiphol

From March 4 until May 24, I get the opportunity to do an internship at Cargill in Schiphol.

My internship coordinator gave me the chance to focus on an interesting project concerning the barge flows in the Netherlands, Belgium and Germany. Specifically, my project goes about mapping al these flows with details on the demurrage costs (the detention of a ship by the freighter beyond the time allowed for loading, unloading, or sailing). After the data analysis, I will have to think about recommendations to lower this cost.

I am very motivated for this project and I am certainly learning a lot!

Next to working at Schiphol, there is also time to relax or to have a very good lunch at Cargill's restaurant.
