Throwback 5

Hey, welcome back to the 2 or 3 people reading my throwbacks! The last 2 weeks were very busy for me at work. I had 3 important presentations to present my work to the different management teams. I did this together with an intern at Cargill in Ghent. It was a great honour for us to do this and we learned a lot during our internships.

Last week, I also had an interesting debate about Sustainability in the palm oil industry at work. The Young Cargill network was divided into 6 different stakeholders and we all had to play our role as a stakeholder and so defend ourselves. In that way, everyone understood the entire Supply Chain and problems for this product. It is an important topic that has a big impact on deforestation.

The weekend of 11-12 May was very relaxing for me. I did a bike tour by myself in Amsterdam and I visited the places I hadn’t seen yet. I saw a couple of pretty parks with fountains. That evening, I decided to go to the cinema to watch Avengers: Endgame. I loved the movie, three hours of fun, action and sadness! I took my own drinks and snacks inside the cinema, badass I know…

The next day, I joined Jill and Merel and we did a guided free walking tour in Amsterdam. Otto was our guide and he told us a lot of interesting facts about Amsterdam and he showed us around in some areas such as the Jewish neighbourhood and the University of Amsterdam. Below, you will find a picture of our group with the guide. Always fun to take cringe pictures in public!

In the evening, we cooked together and watched the final episode of the ā€˜Mol’ where they explained everything.

This week, I worked on a step plan to ensure the continuity of my project after my internship and I also had some meetings and smaller presentations.

On Saturday, Zoƫ, Merel and I went to the library of Amsterdam to do some schoolwork such as writing our paper. This library was very large and clean. It was a great experience to integrate between the students from Amsterdam and to work with a view over the city (fifth floor).

Today, Sunday 19/05 was a relaxing day where I did a walking tour by myself to spot awesome cars in the city centre. Now I am currently waiting for the final episode of Game of Thrones to come out.

Anyway, this was my final throwback. A little bit random stories in 1 post, sorry for that! Have a nice week.
